This animation highlights the realities of domestic abuse, where control, fear, and harm can take many forms, not just physical. It explores neglect, which can leave adults without the essential care, dignity, and safety they deserve. In addition, the video raises awareness of exploitation and cuckooing, where individuals or organised groups take over the home of a vulnerable adult to commit crimes, manipulate them, or abuse their trust.
By recognising the signs early, knowing when something isn't right, and speaking up, we can all play a part in keeping adults safe from harm. If you're worried about yourself or someone else, please contact the Safeguarding Adults Team, help is always available, and no concern is ever too small.
