Warmer Homes
Warmer Homes provide a range of fully-funded energy efficiency improvements for your home, subject to eligibility. West Berkshire Council is part of a consortium headed by Portsmouth City Council, created to deliver this scheme.
What is the Warmer Homes programme
Portsmouth City Council, in partnership with 30 other local authority partners, has secured funding through the Warm Homes: Local Grant (WH:LG) scheme, administered by the Government's Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), to offer funding to provide energy efficiency upgrades and low carbon heating to qualifying off-gas homes.
The programme is open to owner occupiers and private rental tenants only. Funding is not available to local authority or housing association tenants. If you are in a private rental property, then permission and a financial contribution from the landlord will be required and the landlord will be contacted about this following the application.
New funding for installations is available from 1 April 2026 and applications are now open.
